A late 1920’s to early 1930’s original Candlestick Desk Telephone from the USA

This telephone has been carefully restored in Denver, Colorado several years ago and is now ready to find a new home.

It is in full working order, ready to simply plug in and use. The dial is especially charming as it produces a “clickety clack” sound whilst dialling, sought after by collectors in the USA.

The telephone was originally used with a heavy, cumbersome and somewhat ugly steel bell box.  This has now been omitted thanks to the use of modern technology. In order to dispense with the ugly bell box, the restorer fitted an internal network with an electronic sounder. This provides good clear speech and a pleasant sounding “warble” on incoming calls.

A new felt base has been fitted to protect the furniture it sits on. It has a 7 foot line cord complete with UK adaptor, ready to plug in and use.

This delightful telephone is ready to make and receive calls. It is covered by a full 2 year warranty.  Please note that it is “pulse dialling”, fully supported by BT and other networks, however not all, so please check that your line provider will support legacy telephones (pulse/loop disconnect) before purchase.
